Fleur Peters | Textile Design
My name is Fleur Peters and I am a Dutch textile designer. I graduated from the Bachelor Textile Design at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and Design (MAFAD). During my study I have had an extremely valuable internship at Ulf Moritz in Amsterdam. I graduated in 2014 with my collection ‘Embrace’; a high-end collection for tie-backs. This collection was created through my fascination with cultures, religions and architecture. Characteristic of my design is a bold but refined hand, combinations of contrasting materials and a sophisticated approach to colour. I have gained work experience at Brink & Campman in Lichtenvoorde (rugs company) and at Lotte Martens ‘Passion for prints’ in Louvain, Belgium (makers of amazing pattern designs on all kinds of surfaces). I have worked for Studio Baan in Venlo as a trendforecaster and allround designer of textiles, product and graphic design. Next I worked for IBI² (Institute of Biomimicry for Interior Innovations) established between Studio Baan and Leolux Living B.V. At last i have worked for Skillz Brand ID´z in Eindhoven as an Art Director.
Translating my ‘fascinations’ into beautiful textiles is my ambition.
